Reporting to the SVP Customer Service, you are the senior contributor and architect of the BID Group distribution business. You are an experienced, highly motivated, energetic, and responsive sales management professional who will drive the establishment, promotion, and growth of a new business segment in the organization targeting a distribution sales model of BID Group aftermarket parts and consumables to the Wood Products Industry in North America. You will leverage your knowledge and accomplishments in distribution supply chain management, inventory management, and re-sale agreement management, to nurture relationships, and foster loyalty to BID Group brands and products through exceptional responsiveness and service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Define & Drive distribution business segment in the organization.
  • Implement process, procedures and programs in the establishment of a long term business segment.
  • Analyze the existing markets, trends, competitive atmosphere, customer needs and incorporate into the business plan,
  • Establish sales & profitability targets.
  • Manage/motivate a team of office workers.
  • Be able to organize and hold sales meetings and one on one coaching with sales representatives.
  • Be able to call on large key accounts and should be able to properly display and sell product.
  • Be willing to participate in consumers and trade shows.
  • Must be prepared to travel with sales representative and visit dealers.

TRAINING AND SKILL SET

  • 7 years of experience in distribution sales and/or management thereof, with a business degree.
  • Proven track record for driving sales, implementing new programs, building new business opportunities.
  • Solid understanding of Industrial Automation, Process Control, and/or machine vision systems is a definite asset.
  • Sawmill industry knowledge would be a major asset.
  • Must have good reporting skills; will report to head office on a monthly basic.
  • The ability to prepare yearly forecast, budgets, 3 years planning.
  • Must have a good understanding of financials reports.
  • Be honest, self-motivated, driven, autonomous, and methodical, with superior attention to detail with excellent communication skills while working in a professional manner with clients, vendors and co-workers.
  • Computer skills needed (MS Office)
  • Be able to function under pressure, enjoy customer contact and enjoy teamwork.
